Butyl glycol ethers do the job, but their odour makes them difficult in enclosed workshops, in consumer products and anywhere operators spend a full shift near an open tank. Special Ether 003 was formulated to keep the solvency curve and drop the odour.
It is fully miscible with water, evaporates slowly enough to act as a true coupling solvent, and dissolves both polar and non-polar species. In practice, formulators use it as a straight replacement for ethylene glycol butyl ether, diethylene glycol butyl ether, dipropylene glycol methyl ether, propylene glycol butyl ether, dipropylene glycol butyl ether and tripropylene glycol butyl ether.

Keep in a cool, ventilated, dry place away from direct sunlight and ignition sources. Keep drums sealed — the product is hygroscopic.
24 months in unopened original packaging. Re‑test on request for material held longer than that.
